VISA on Arrival for Indians at Dubai, UAE

Indian passport holders with a valid American visa or a Green Card will now be eligible to obtain a UAE visa on arrival, as per the decree approved by the UAE Cabinet. The decision to have a simplified visa process is aimed at advancing the UAE-India relations in economic, politics, and trade. It also contributes to achieving UAE’s vision to be the leading country in attracting global tourism. The visa will be valid for 14 days, with a single extension possible for a fee.


“Citizens of the Republic of India who are holders of normal passports with a six-month, or more, valid green card or visa issued by the United States of America shall be granted entry visas to the UAE from all ports for a period of 14 days, subject for a single renewal for the same period upon payment of applicable fees,” an official statement said.


Lots of queries were present in connection with this. Thought of writing this post to transfer the experience gained in obtaining the VISA.


I travelled to Dubai, United Arab Emirates in Emirates Airlines which landed in T3.


Upon arrival after crossing the connections wing advanced to the Arrivals Immigration. To my left, there was Marhaba Services counter.



Since the time which I landed was very odd, there were the only couple of people in the queue. The lady at the counter got my passport, checked my USA Visa validity and asked for 120 Dhirams (Approx 32 USD). I said I don't have cash, and she said she can accept VISA / MasterCard / American Express cards. How lucky I was!


She got it and put a sticker on the receipt and asked me to proceed with the Visa on Arrival counter.



And, yes that's it. They stamped my Passport and I entered into Dubai, UAE where I can spend up to 14 days. But I am bound to some work back in Country, so will be leaving in 2 days.


To clear for many people, B1/B2 US Visa is valid for entry into Dubai. Heard from the staffs that Indian Passport Holders with valid UK or EU Visa more than 6 months are also allowed to enter into Dubai for 14 days and the same process is applicable.

Intelligent people with OCD are miserable

Intelligent people with OCD ( O bsessive- C ompulsive  D isorder ) lead a very strange life. If you think you are highly intelligent and have symptoms of OCD it will be a huge handicap throughout the entire course of life. If you don’t have such things but see someone with such symptoms, don’t ignore them. It may sound a bit counterintuitive, but be assured that the experience would be the best. No matter how intelligent the person is, they are still a human being and not a machine! It’s a well-known fact that nobody is perfect. We’re all good at certain things and not so great at others. The smartest kid of the class might not be academically stronger, and I am challenging the case vice versa. I have seen many such cases in my life, why not least, I am seeing myself every day in the mirror and selfies. And, that’s a natural way of balancing the equation. Commitment is not just a Word, it is an Act

In the present world, we see many people miss the conduct code by skipping the term "Commitment" assuming it as a word. In reality, it is an act. And this act needs loads of consistent behaviour, and it happens over some time. A strong commitment exhibits an executive leadership skills of an individual through their behavioural consistency. It took me years to understand the difference between Interest and Commitment. In nut-shell, commitment is a connection between our values, intentions and actions over some time. Though it is just a choice of adhering or not-adhering, commitment is just an internal process which one needs to follow. Adding, it is self-expression and not to be influenced or enforced by external agents. Talking to people about five years down the road is hard for them to get their head around, especially for young people who are accustomed to instant gratification.
